Next year, star and television chef Johann Lafer will once again enrich a Vasco da Gama cruise, offering
both culinary delights and numerous entertaining moments.

From June 11 to June 26, 2025, guests aboard the Vasco da Gama will not only experience the most beautiful destinations along the western European coast but also enjoy Johann Lafer’s exquisite culinary skills. The program includes a Q&A session, readings from his latest book, engaging lectures on nutrition,
and a live cooking show in the auditorium.

Born in Styria, Austria, Lafer’s roots are in Austrian cuisine, but his career has been shaped by the diversity of international culinary traditions.

Western European Route

The June 2025 cruise begins in Barcelona, the vibrant capital of Catalonia. From there, the journey leads to Alicante, a charming port city on the Costa Blanca, and then to Málaga. Heading further south, the  ship stops in Gibraltar, Lisbon, and Porto before reaching A Coruña in northern Spain. Bilbao, renowned
for its architecturally unique Guggenheim Museum, is also on the itinerary.

The French destinations follow: Port Médoc, Bordeaux, and Saint-Malo, a gateway to the famous Mont St. Michel. The final port of call before the cruise concludes is Zeebrugge. After 16 days exploring some of the most stunning coastal locations in Western Europe, the Vasco da Gama will dock in Kiel on June 26, 2025.
